We carry out GA1 testing and inspection for construction and agriculture equipment as well as all lifting equipment. Our GA1 inspections are offered across all of Ireland in accordance with the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Regulations 2007.

Employers are expected to provide a safe working environment for their employees. This includes ensuring your equipment are in good working condition. To that end, it’s important to have your plant, machinery and other equipment tested regularly.

By law, all plant/machinery being used on a construction site must have an active GA1 Certificate, which must be renewed every twelve months. And all lifting equipment on a construction site must also have an active GA1 Certificate, which should be renewed every six months.

We are a fully qualified and certified Lifting Equipment Inspector for lifting equipment, non-lifting equipment and accessories (GA1). Our internationally recognised accreditation allows us to meet and comply with all statutory requirements.

Safety at a construction site is extremely important not only for your employees but also for the equipment they are using. An annual inspection and testing of machines has an array of advantages.

With our GA1 inspection service across Ireland, you can ensure your equipment is safe at all times. An annual inspection can help you catch minor faults before they turn into huge problems. By identifying minor faults, you can remedy them cost-effectively. If left unchecked, a minor fault can soon become a major problem, which could result in costly repairs and loss of revenue.

Here at Midland Safety, we test, inspect and certify construction equipment professionally an cost-effectively, assuring you of the highest standards of quality at all times. Our service engineers are fully trained and accredited to carry out inspections of all makes and models of machinery and plant as well as lifting equipment.

Once the inspection is completed, we will issue a GA1 Form, a report of complete inspection verifying that the equipment meets the necessary requirements to operate. In case the equipment is found defective, we will list the defects stating that the equipment is not fit for purpose and should be repaired and retested for compliance.
